A writer is one who is responsible for the creation and structure of a written story or article. Writers of books are referred to as authors or novelists. Writers for film are called screenwriters while writers for television are often referred to as teleplay writers. The duties required for composing a comic story may vary and some books may have more than one writer. Some writers are only responsible for developing the basic plot of a comic issue and are sometimes credited as plotters.
