The Trance of Transferal was a magic spell that enabled the wielder to transfer power and life energy from one or more selected target into themselves, thereby increasing their own mystic power. The evil cult leader Asmodeus cast this spell against his own followers, the Sons of Satannish, to give him sufficient power to combat Doctor Strange. He used part of the power he had absorbed to change his own physical form to resemble that of Strange himself. The Sons of Satannish grew severely weak as their life energies left their bodies. Asmodeus then banished them to the interdimensional realm of Tiboro. (DS: 177)
