Dan Adkins is a comic book artist and writer born in Midkiff, West Virginia on March 15th, 1937. In addition to his work for Marvel Comics, Dan has also contributed his talents to various horror and science fiction magazines as well. Dan's earliest genre work for Marvel was the "Doctor Strange" vignette in Strange Tales, Volume 1 #161. Following the reformatting of that series, Dan was the featured penciler and cover artist to the first issue of Doctor Strange's own magazine with issue #169 as well as the following issue. He later returned to the character in 1977 with issue 21 of Doctor Strange, Volume 2.
